Blender Parametric Primitves
Blender is missing Parametric Primitives, like we have in other applications like C4D and Maya.
With Geometry Nodes it is fairly simple to create them, but it is not for beginners, who need these objects the most, while they experiment and learn how to use the software and define their style.
- Cube
- Cylinder
- Disc
- Capsule
- Sphere
- Cone
- Spring
Change size, radius and segment count at any time!
No need to commit to anything while fiddling with modifiers and animation.
Primitives in the asset library - drag and drop into the scene
Each primitive has its own parameters
Installation
- From Blender Preferences, Make a new Asset Library.
- Name it "Primitives".
- Point it to where you have extracted primitives.zip
- Restart Blender.
Materials are to be added to the modifier 'material' parameter - not the object
No support for physics yet - This will be looked into later.
Enjoy!
